Internship for college students in NIT Trichy

 National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NITT) is inviting Undergraduate and

Postgraduate students from various Colleges, Institutes and Universities to pursue
internship under the guidance of a faculty mentor of NITT.


🔹 Program Highlights

  • Ideal for students currently pursuing undergraduate studies

📅 Internship Duration

  • Minimum: 30 days
  • Maximum: 60 days
  • Internship period: 4th May 2026 to 3rd July 2026
  • Duration can be chosen based on mutual convenience of the student and faculty mentor

💰 Internship Fee Structure

  • Up to 30 days – ₹5,000
  • 31 to 45 days – ₹7,500
  • 46 to 60 days – ₹10,000

👨‍🏫 Faculty Mentors

Students can select faculty mentors based on their area of interest from the official NITT website. The scope of work and interaction hours will be decided mutually between the student and the mentor.

👥 Student Allocation

  • Each faculty member can supervise up to 5 students

📝 Selection Process

  1. Contact a faculty mentor via email and obtain consent
  2. Fill out the application form after receiving approval
  3. Consent must be sent directly from the faculty’s official NITT email ID (no attachments allowed)

🎓 Certification

  • A certificate will be awarded upon:
    • Successful completion of the internship
    • Submission of the final report through the faculty mentor

🏠 Accommodation

  • Hostel accommodation (boys & girls) available based on availability (first-come, first-served)
  • Available from May 18th to July 3rd, 2026
  • Not applicable for students residing within 50 km of NITT
